The two younger boys got to compete in high school rodeo together, Travis was a senior and Drew a freshman.  Both qualified for the National High School Rodeo Finals in Farmington, New Mexico.

Travis and Drew Cowan win short go in the team roping at the South Dakota State High School Rodeo Finals

Preparation for the September Horse Sale kept the boys pretty close to home during 2009.  Fortunately, the Circuit system allows us to compete and return home that night.  North and South Dakota are designated to the Badlands Circuit, with co-approved rodeos venturing into neighboring states.
